What to wear
for a day at the races
There’s nothing quite like a day at the races. Whether you’re sipping champagne in the member's lounge, hanging out with your besties on the St Leger Gazebo Lawn, or having a picnic on the grass with your family, most racegoers make the most of the occasion and take the opportunity to dress up.
We do encourage clients to dress smartly – full raceday attire (suits, dresses, headpieces etc.) is not uncommon.
Sponsors Lounge: Dress to impress
We suggest guests rise to the occasion and dress to impress. Most people will be in raceday attire, so this is your chance to really dress up!
Members Lounge: Smart casual
A high standard of dress is expected in the lounges. No singlets or jandals will be accepted.
General Admission: Tidy casual
While there is no specific dress code in general admission/public areas, tidy dress is expected.
